You are here: To be honest, none of the weapons you use, or the armor you use matters. The point is to learn tactics. Do not get hit, and you will be golden no matter what you use. It is all personal preferance whether or not you decide to use a sword and shield, or dualwield.
If you are a beginner, we suggest a slow hitting weapon whatever it may be, whatever is affordable to you. The reason for slow hitting, is because it causes a longer stun, and as someone learning the ropes of the game(Mabinogi Gold), it can give you time for errors.
The best advice we could give to you about your weapons, is to never repair them at a blacksmith that has 90% success rate, always repair at 95%, trust us, your weapons will last much longer, its worth the extra cash. Also, upgrade your weapons as soon as possible. It makes a huge difference in your damage.
Armors, in our opinion, are useless unless upgraded. To upgrade an armor, you have to make sure its one you want to keep for a very long time. It will be personalized, meaning it can not be stored on a pet, or sold to another player o f Mabinogi.
